The Grand Final of the «Grandpro Lights the Stars» open pastry chef competition became the main professional event of summer 2021; it took place on June 23 at Moscow. According to the rules of the competition, the contestants had to cook unique creative desserts using GRANDPRO margarine.
At the first stage of the competition, we had accepted 74 applications from pastry chefs living in Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Vladivostok, Budennovsk, Yaroslavl. Professionals having comprehensive experience in pastry manufacture managing, pastry chefs working at restaurants, bakeries and at home, well-known masters, rising stars, and those who consider pastry art as a favorite hobby took part in the competition.
We had delivered to the contestants more than 80 kg of GRANDPRO product samples (Cake, Tart, Cream, Croissant series).

I went from a homemade amateur pastry chef to the chef of one of the best gastronomic restaurants in Moscow. Realization of your dream — in your hands. Get inspired and work! The desired result will not be long in coming.
1st place — Marina Romanova, creator of the Rosemarycake brand and the online confectionery school @rosemarycake.school. Marina flew in from Novokuznetsk to amaze the jury and guests of the grand finale with an art presentation of Beetroot mousse dessert. in a caramel capsule on a truffle biscuit cushion (based on GRANDPRO Cream and Cake, respectively). Prize for the first place — certificate for a week of training at the Academy of Culinary Arts «Exclusive» — will help the winner not only improve her personal skills, but also bring knowledge to her students throughout Russia and abroad.
2nd place — Ulyana Skobeleva, home confectioner from Moscow. Ulyana prepared a charming cake "Bumblebee". She came up with this twist on the classic honey cake for her friends by adding a little nutmeg and cinnamon to honey cakes with GRANDPRO Cake, and she created a cream based on GRANDPRO Cream that tastes and resembles ice cream ice cream. Prize for second place — certificate for a week of training at the culinary school Novikov School.
3rd place — Dmitry Yurasov, pastry chef at Wine & crab. Dmitry presented Cheesecake with mango and strawberries, refreshing and delighting with the play of textures in an exquisite restaurant setting. As part of cream «Mango and white chocolate» he used GRANDPRO Cream, and for decoration — textured chips based on GRANDPRO Cake. Prize for third place — week-long internship at the FARRO restaurant under the guidance of Ekaterina Krieger.
A special prize for organizational sympathies was awarded to Anastasia Savkina. She did the almost impossible: in just two hours, allotted by the rules of the grand final, she prepared and decorated with ganache painting based on GRANDPRO Cream a vegan cake "Lime Mojito".
In addition, at the grand finals, audience awards were awarded based on the results of online voting in the social networks of the competition. The winners were: Anara Murzakulova with the "Creamy Napoleon" cake, Nikolai Cherny with the "Shlisselburg" mini-tart, Uliana Skobeleva with the "Bumblebee" cake and Elizaveta Vagina with sliced cake "Tales of the Vienna Woods". All of them were waiting for pleasant surprises from GRANDPRO — gift certificates to the confectionery supermarket VTK-moscow.ru.
